The mission of the Châtelaillon-Plage Community Tourist Office is to develop a tourist offer accessible to people with disabilities, through the “Tourisme & Handicap” State label.
⛱️Une handiplage beach, accessible to people with reduced mobility
The Casino beach at Châtelaillon-Plage has been awarded the handiplage level 2 label. The beach has been designed so that people with reduced mobility can enjoy a swim.
The Handiplage label means that equipment has been installed to make swimming accessible to people with reduced mobility:
- A beach mat for access to the sea at high tide (June to September).
- 2 tiralos are available for bathing from early July to late August, every day between 11am and 7pm.
a changing room and shower cubicle for PRMs, available from early July to late August, every day between 11am and 7pm. - Another access mat is also available opposite rue de la plage.
- The first-aid post is located close to these facilities. It is open from July to the end of August, every day between 11am and 7pm. If required, lifeguards can assist with the launching of tiralos during the opening hours of the first-aid post.
